Peter Maffay and SERVIEW: Running for a good cause

At the age of 73, Peter Maffay could actually have long since retired and rested on his laurels: with 20 number one albums and around 50 million records sold, he is one of Germany's most successful musicians. But doing nothing is not his thing; Peter Maffay is simply far too busy for that.

This year, the children's character Tabaluga, which he co-invented, celebrates its 40th birthday - with a big TV show featuring Peter Maffay. In the summer, the German rocker will go on an open-air tour and perform his hits live in front of an audience. And there's also his social commitment, to which he devotes himself with full passion: For more than 20 years, he has been working with his Peter Maffay Foundation for traumatized and disadvantaged children and young people.

The foundation makes therapeutic active vacations possible - in Germany, Romania or on Mallorca. Here, children and young people can take a little time out from their stressful everyday lives and recharge their batteries. Because they often have hard things behind them: social problems, violence, grief, illness or even war. "It's the most wonderful gift to watch the children play and romp around, come out of their shells and often gain new self-confidence," says Peter Maffay.

Step on the gas for the Peter Maffay Foundation

To this end, he is diligently collecting donations with his foundation, and SERVIEW is supporting him:

On May 24, 2023, the 10th Peter Maffay Foundation "Walk & Run" will take place as part of the BMPK. Starting at 6:30 p.m., the race will take place on a varied route through the natural landscape of the Odenwald. Whether as an individual starter or with colleagues in a team: everyone passes the finish line as a winner, because everyone runs for the benefit of disadvantaged and traumatized children. Of course, the Walk & Run is free of charge for congress participants, SERVIEW takes over the starting fee. External runners are also welcome and can participate for an entry fee of ten euros. All proceeds will be donated to the Peter Maffay Foundation. About 250 motivated runners are expected in the starting field. Be part of it and do something good in the context of the BMPK!

By the way: Peter Maffay and SERVIEW have been a good team for many years! Since 2012, when the musician rocked the 10th BMPK with his stage performance, Peter Maffay has been closely associated with us.
