Press release: Growing together - that is our goal!

"For me, professional success is closely linked to continuous learning, networking and strong relationships. The SERVIEW Summit BMPK puts these values front and center. It provides a platform that brings together people from all levels of experience - from greenhorns to sheriffs, from students to alumni, from subject matter experts to executives. The trade fair and congress are aimed specifically at a broad audience: our agenda includes basics for industry newcomers as well as advanced knowledge for those who want to deepen their know-how. It is this diversity that makes the BMPK so exciting!

We pride ourselves on creating an environment in which every participant can grow and develop - both on a personal and professional level. The focus is on interpersonal interactions, the exchange of ideas and experiences, a culture of open dialog.

For me, the BMPK is more than just an event; it is an integral part of our philosophy of building and nurturing relationships, sharing knowledge and actively contributing to the development of our industry. We invite you to be part of this experience and grow together with us!"

The outfit question: Is there a dress code?

There is no special dress code for trade fairs and congresses. Come in whatever you feel comfortable in! You are welcome to let off steam in terms of clothing at our "Wild Wild Best" theme party: here we are happy to welcome Western outfits in proper style. Whether cool like Wyatt Earp, elegant like Belle Starr or casual like Billy the Kid - let yourself be inspired by the looks of your western heroes. As a hot incentive, we'll choose the most original costume and reward it with a prize that's really something!

If you would like to take part in the Peter Maffay Foundation's "Walk & Run", you should wear sturdy shoes - because it goes through the forest. For our "Round Up & Bonfire" evening event, it's best to pack something warm, as it takes place outside in good weather.

From the beginnings to today: how the BMPK has developed

This year we are celebrating the biggest BMPK ever, but even the biggest event started out small: Once launched in Bad Orb in 2003, the BMPK has developed into one of the most important meeting places for the IT industry within 20 years.

Always at the start: an entertaining motto that gives the trade fair and congress a content-related framework. From "Big Bang of Best Practices" to "May the Force of Service be with you" and "Welcome to the jungle" - each motto is implemented in the stage design, communication and, of course, the program. Prominent speakers have also always been an integral part of the BMPK: personalities such as René Borbonus, Urs Meier, Thorsten Havener and Vince Ebert have provided fresh impetus in recent years.

In 2016, the BMPK was held for the first time at the Lufthansa Conference Center in Seeheim-Jugenheim, where it is still based today. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world between 2020 and 2022, the BMPK had to take an involuntary break for three years. The triumphant return in 2023 under the motto "The fast and the reliable IT" set new standards: with first-class exhibitors, speakers and Craig Lieberman as special guest, who gave insights into the "Fast & Furious" film series, the event reached a new dimension. Original cars from the films enhanced the experience and underlined the connection between technology and real IT applications.

From its beginnings to its current size, the development of the BMPK impressively demonstrates how an event can grow and adapt to the variable requirements of an industry. Every year brings new challenges and innovations that strengthen the BMPK as an indispensable meeting place for IT professionals!

Location with flair: Why Seeheim & the BMPK are a perfect match

The right location is crucial for promoting free exchange and focusing thoughts. We found the perfect location for our event at the Lufthansa Seeheim conference hotel in Seeheim-Jugenheim with its 25,000 square meter congress center!

Opened in 2009, the Conference Center with adjoining hotel is ideal for the BMPK: state-of-the-art technical equipment, great service, an attentive team, literally excellent rooms - including the "Coolest Conference Room 2020" - and daylight everywhere with a view of the greenery. A central congress hall, the spacious outdoor area and numerous hotel rooms offer participants, exhibitors and the BMPK crew ample space for an airy, unrestricted exchange of ideas.

The Conference Center is located on a ridge in the Odenwald Nature Park. The architecture and interior offer modern comfort in a pleasant atmosphere. Guests also benefit from the excellent transport connections: Frankfurt am Main and Heidelberg can be reached within half an hour, and Darmstadt is in the immediate vicinity. Would you like to find out more about this extraordinary location? Then take a look at the hotel's website!
