A Comprehensive Look at Scrum

Thomas not only gave us a good overview of the Scrum principles, but also provided me with an eye-opening insight into the roles of the Scrum Master and Product Owner (and the skills we'll need to put them into practice). All of my initial questions were answered during the training.
- Despite the scope of the topic, it was presented very well. It wasn't boring, was very easy to understand, and varied; the presenter took the participants' needs into account.
Combining the Scrum Master and Product Owner roles into a single course was a smart decision. The two perspectives complement each other—those who understand both roles work together much more effectively in practice. The training materials are well-structured, clear, and directly tailored to the exam requirements. The sample exams helped me recognize typical patterns of thinking in the exam: “What does the Scrum Guide say—not what I do in practice?” This shift in mindset is the real learning outcome.
I’d especially like to highlight Nancy as the instructor: She explained complex concepts precisely and with real-world relevance, answered questions competently at all times, and created an atmosphere where participants felt comfortable asking follow-up questions. Her style is direct, engaging, and technically on point—exactly what you need in an exam preparation course.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a direct path to PSM I and PSPO I.

The training with Arne gave me many helpful insights into Scrum. The examples chosen were very clear and easy to understand. Arne also took the time to respond to individual questions and was a very attentive and empathetic trainer overall. I can recommend the training and not only feel well prepared for the exam, but also feel that I have gained a lot for my future work in the Scrum team.
Thank you, Arne, for two fantastic days in Düsseldorf. The Scrum content was presented in an easy-to-understand and humorous way with good examples. It was fun listening to Arne! I can highly recommend this course as preparation for certification; I passed both exams on the first try with the content I learned.
As a tip for other interested parties: The course is definitely aimed at people who are looking for an understanding of vanilla Scrum and want to successfully obtain certification, rather than learning or discussing a broad picture of best practices from the industry. The online training for Scrum Master and Product Owner was really good and instructive. The teaching materials were very well prepared and visually appealing. And most importantly, our trainer, Katharina, did a great job of conveying the content! It was always interesting, very entertaining, there were lots of practical examples and always enough time for questions and discussions. What I also liked very much was that it was always interactive - the simulation on the second day was very useful and also deepened many aspects for me!
For the simulation, it would have been good to have a little more time for the product backlog.
Overall a 10/10 training and I am happy to recommend it!

I've had several online trainings and this was by far one of the best I've had. The main reason was the way Katharina presented the material because it can get theoretical and tedious very quickly, but the clever inclusion of real-life stories and comparisons broke up the tedium and made it easy to follow what was going on.
The group was also great as we were quite small in number which made it easier to be part of the group.
All in all, a great training session with a great trainer and a good group

I recently took part in a two-day online training course on PSM I & PSPO I certification preparation - compact, practical and to the point.
We were a small group with only three participants, which provided plenty of room for individual questions and exchange. The training was structured in a varied way: Workbook, presentation, group exercise and discussion meshed well. The content covered all the central Scrum topics - from roles and events to artifacts - always with a strong practical focus. Particularly memorable were the real-life examples, such as riding a racing bike or developing a new pizza, which made theoretical concepts tangible.
The trainer was absolutely convincing: technically very competent, communicatively clear and with noticeable genuine enthusiasm. You could tell that she not only lives Scrum, but also enjoys passing on her knowledge.
One small point for improvement: an activating exercise directly after the lunch break on the first day would have made the start of the afternoon a little easier - this was also mentioned directly by me and the other training participants in the feedback.
Conclusion: An absolutely recommendable training course - especially because of the great trainer, who impresses with her know-how, clarity and enthusiasm.
Arne did a great job of conveying the boring material and enriched it with memorable examples. It was really fun. The size of the group was also ideal. The workbook is very good, Arne's tips on bloggers even better. The 320 practice questions were also helpful to get used to the "logic" of the original American questions. Somehow I had the feeling that the PO part was a bit too short.
But all in all it was a very good experience that will make me return to Serview. PS: I am now also a certified PO and Scrum Master.
The trainer explained the content very clearly, with lots of examples and a good structure. The pace was pleasant, not too fast and not too slow. It was fun to listen and I already feel well prepared for the exam. We received several helpful preparation documents.
As a beginner and newcomer to the topic of Agile and Scrum, I felt very comfortable with the trainer and the content and I was picked up well everywhere.
The concept, consisting of listening, active participation/questions and a semi-finished script, which is filled out directly, has great added value.
It was a pity for me as a left-hander, because the objection is quite thick, I often had difficulties writing.
I will definitely attend another training course there.
Andreas Lehmann conveyed the content very well and created a good working atmosphere. The break concept was good!
The hotel was very good in terms of service, facilities and location. The service was very attentive, the food was very good and the snacks (too) plentiful. We had to return a lot of food because it was too much. Much smaller snacks would be sufficient.
I had expected a reservation contingent for the number of participants. If the hotel had been fully booked, it would have been difficult.
The information about the exact training location came too late for me.

Very good training, despite the amount of information, the training was very well organized and executed. It was always interesting. She also always had lots of interesting and helpful examples/additional information.
Had several Serview trainings and this was the best so far. I would recommend Katja at any time.
Generally I think it's too much information for just 2 days.
I am grateful to Mr. Kurths for the clear management of expectations and the precise identification of a methodological misunderstanding on our part - even at the risk of one participant leaving the course immediately. I also liked the way he responded to our questions.

Despite the large scope and the limited content, it was conveyed clearly and comprehensibly. Michael responded well to intermediate questions and had a very pleasant presentation style. In combination with the materials provided, I feel well prepared for the exam.

The topics were discussed deeply and clearly theoretically as well as practically. Areas for improvement:
1. even more exam questions in between and perhaps have them explained by the participants.
2. information in the voucher mail about how long the voucher is valid.
My most important feedback in semicolons:
- great trainer, you can see his enthusiasm for educational work
- The amount of material just fitted into 2 days and is too theory-heavy for me personally. I would have preferred 3 days, but unfortunately it was no longer possible to book this. The training course is very school-based, I would have liked to break up the frontal teaching and introduce more practical methods. Scrum lends itself very well to this.
- A chapter / further literature on how and where I can deepen my scrum knowledge would be great.
- Perhaps also look at how you can work on paper waste.
- Otherwise, great training and I am very satisfied. You did a good job of conveying the Scrum framework in its entirety in an understandable way.
I have already attended 2 seminars at Serview and was thrilled each time. I was not disappointed this time either!

The training was very interesting and I was able to learn a lot for my project work. The content was very well prepared and the documents and technology in the training room really helped us to learn. Katja always responded well to our questions and was able to pick us all up well. She was able to give us lots of practical examples and her pace was just right. I've never experienced a trainer where I had so much fun during the training and at the same time took away so much input. I would train with Katja again at any time! The various exercises and group work helped me to internalize the entire topic. Thanks to Katja's manner, I had a lot of fun during the training and I was happy to come back every day. The framework conditions at Serview also make for a very pleasant stay. I would recommend anyone to book a classroom training course.

The Scrum Kompakt training was very helpful for getting started in the Scrum world and also offered further information and tips for more in-depth work afterwards.
The instructor Johannes Uske is very competent and was able to convey this very well. He always responded to the participants and worked through practical examples together and gave tips for implementation.
The documents provided were helpful both as a reference work and as an active workbook to follow along.
The seminar house in Bad Homburg was technically and culinary very well equipped, so that a pleasant learning atmosphere was offered.
The entire training, including the teaching material, organization and, of course, the trainer Arne Wollenhaupt, was a prime example of competent, effective training.
Arne Wollenhaupt is very familiar with the subject matter, can answer every question satisfactorily and is happy to do so several times if it was not understood the first time. In general, theories & constructs were always used with handy examples from everyday life, but also e.g. from film & TV, so that you always had an exact picture in front of your eyes and the whole thing was also given a certain charm. The teaching material was adapted to the flipcharts used by the trainer and could therefore be integrated efficiently. I would particularly like to emphasize Arne Wollenhaupt's fine sense of when to be the sole entertaining lecturer and when to be the questioning teacher. The amount of content that was presented and explained in a monologue and, in relation to that, the amount of questions that were asked in the round, I found to be just right. Arne Wollennhaupt's technical expertise, but also his personal, likeable manner, made the 3-day training an entertaining experience for me - despite the amount of input. Thanks to this and the teaching material organized by Serview, I felt optimally prepared for the certification exams after the last day.

Very good traning - good balance between theory that is needed in order to get certification by passing exam but also some practice excersise to understand practical use.
Mr. Erik was very good at explaining and helpful to explain again or on different examples.
Form of traning was good with mostly infographics which is better to remember than plain text.
Additional information on how to get prepared for exam (like making multilpe open tests) was very helpful and releif from the stress to be 100% prepared.
All in all 5/5 training I would recommend to everybody who wants to learn about SCRUM master and Product Owner.

I attended the 3-day face-to-face training Scrum Master and Product Owner in Düsseldorf.
Contents:
The first part of the training picks up the participants at their respective knowledge base and teaches all the important elements of Scrum in one day in a compact form. Meaningful overviews are provided to give a holistic overview of the framework and to understand the function of the different elements.
The second part focuses on the role of the Scrum Master and his responsibilities. For this purpose, appropriate templates (e.g. Best Practice Planning Scrum Events) are provided at appropriate points. The trainer was always able to answer my practical questions very well and clarify them using practical examples. This made the training interactive and made it much easier to transfer the content to everyday work.
The third day was about the product owner role. Since I already hold this role in my organization, I had the opportunity to ask many questions and discuss practical challenges with the trainer. In addition, I was able to take away many valuable practical tips, such as the structured derivation of user stories or product goals, which will help me in my future daily work.

For someone who has been working with Scrum longer, but the theory goes way back (about 10 years) it was a very good refresher.
In the team with 4 people we use Scrum (+Kanban) rather as a loose framework to structure the tasks. So we adapted many elements (sprint, roles etc.) for us. I was able to take away a lot from the three days, which we will go through again in the team to constantly develop our workflow.
positive things were:
- very engaged trainer
- mixture of theory, questions received, practice/group exercises
- Examples of other systems and companies
neutral:
- the 30 minutes Scrum exercise (Giraffe) was a bit hectic, maybe soften the rules a bit (instead of 5 sprints only 2-3 with more timefor planning, doing etc.).

I enjoyed the seminar very much. Alexander conveyed all the relevant content extremely well and also responded directly to every question from the participants. You could tell that he had a lot of fun presenting the topics in addition to his in-depth knowledge. He was also very likeable and humorous.
The group exercises also helped to apply the theory in examples. The workbook principle is great, even if it requires a little reworking of the sometimes elaborate drawings at one point or another.
All in all, I was very satisfied and can recommend this seminar without reservation.

A comprehensive training with good details and practical approaches.
The focus is on the preparation of the necessary content and is ideal for this.
Unfortunately, there is not enough time for the common exchange, the transfer into practice and for further practical exercises.
If the focus on the exam should not be diluted, I suggest an included review date of the seminar group (true to the motto: Scrum Master training - and then) one to two months after the training.
This can then take place online.
Here the participants can exchange information about the transfer into practice.

As a developer and PO for several years, I have been using the SCRUM process in my company for a long time. Nevertheless, I decided to attend this training in order to deal systematically with the process and the role of the PO.
The training is divided into three parts (SCRUM Essentials, SCRUM Master, Product Owner), where each part is covered in one day. Different materials (handout, workbook, presentation, board to work together interactively) are used.
In my training there were a total of three participants and the trainer Johannes. We immediately had a very personal and pleasant relationship in this round. Johannes has a lot of experience, also in all related areas (human resources, leadership, psychological background and of course SCRUM). He created a pleasant and friendly atmosphere, and prepared all participants very well for the subsequent exam. Thank you Johannes, I hope to see you again soon at another training!!!
Conclusion: Highly recommended.

As expected, the three-day training also provided a lot of material for IT professionals already working in the agile environment and especially Scrum.
The workbooks provided by Serview (workbooks also and especially for taking notes as well as material in the same form for exam preparation) are first-class. I myself showed up for the first day of training full of intention without a laptop and mobile device, but with a college pad and pen, as my experience shows that learning is still most efficient this way (my colleagues and I were also accommodated on site, so the distances to correct my plan would have been short - more on that in a moment).
I was then also positively surprised that Serview did not consider this approach to be equally sensible, but in addition provided the above-mentioned fantastic material plus writing materials (ballpoint pens, four different colored, new quality pens from a German manufacturer). First class!
The training itself was in hybrid form, five participants were on site, another dozen (including two ladies) were connected "online". The spectrum of participants was slightly homogeneous, there were mostly people working in IT, but also participants from outside the field - which is quite desirable in Scrum.
The lecturer shone through his knowledgeable use of rhetorical means, took the participants along very well, always kept the motivation up and interspersed nice anecdotes and background knowledge at appropriate occasions. I appreciated his international vita (myself rather "got around") very much. The fact that he came to Scrum and other aspects of management (PRINCE2 et al) from a completely different background (i.e. not IT) is in my eyes absolutely no obstacle, but rather transforms into a welcome and well-used effect element, with the help of which subject-specific IT "phenomena" can be critically questioned, especially in the implementation of Scrum, and thus also pointed out pitfalls.
The on-site accommodation is tactically highly recommended. The premises are spacious and very well maintained. The on-site catering is also recommendable (breakfast and lunch) and invites to get to know the group participants even better and in more detail. This is especially true for the bar, which is open from 6 pm (self-service)!
The Uzbek restaurant "Samarkand", which can be found in relative proximity, is also highly recommended. The lover of Asian food is certainly drawn to "Mai Tai" in Bad Homburg itself (about 3km way, but especially recommended after long days of studying).
In summary: Extremely good training, extremely sympathetic and competent staff at all levels, great accommodation, surroundings worth exploring.
If six stars were possible, I would have been very happy to give them (contrary to my other modus operandi when making recommendations)! :)

The PSM I and PSPO I course prepared me optimally for the respective exams. Johannes U. succeeded - despite difficult conditions due to a hybrid setting - in conveying the extensive and complex learning content professionally and very clearly and also took into account the individual needs/level of knowledge of each course participant. The materials provided were also very helpful. In addition, Johannes U. imparted further important knowledge about agile methodology, "agile leadership" and personal development that went beyond the pure examination material (including tips on further literature). It was worth it!

The SCRUM compact course with Alexander Q. was something special. Even before the training, Alex provided a very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere.
The course was very clearly structured in terms of content. It is a brilliant idea to package the course content in UserStories yourself and to always know on the KanBan board where you are at the moment, what is still to come, etc. I especially enjoyed working with the very clean FlipCharts and the workbooks, and it adds tremendous value even after the course is over.
Alex addressed the concerns and questions of all participants. His expertise and many years of practical SCRUM experience flowed excellently into the wonderfully structured learning material.
The learning environment was also first class.
I would book a course with Serview again.

The training was really good. The trainer did a good job of conveying the content in a way that was appropriate for the target audience. The use of the materials (workbook, slides, websites, ....) was really good. His practical experience was also incorporated into the presentation. The preparation for the exam was good, now it's really up to you....
The training rooms were really good and easy to find even for non-locals.
In short, the training was really good, the learning content was well conveyed, the trainer was great.

The training took place hybrid - 2 participants + instructor on site and about 8 online (almost all the whole time with camera).
The content was conveyed in a very comprehensible way. There were many questions and smaller experience reports from the other participants so that a very good exchange came about.
Using the appropriate tools, we (all participants - whether online or on-site) were able to work on the exercises together on a board.
The information on the relevance of the content for exams was also helpful.
Now it's time to prepare, answer sample questions and pass the exam!

Attending the Scrum Master & Product Owner training in Bad Homburg fully met my expectations. The extensive teaching material was completely gone through during the three days combined with practical examples.
The lecturer was professionally excellent. You could tell that he was not a pure theoretician but a practitioner with many years of professional and project experience.

The course contains a lot of valuable and well-prepared content that goes beyond the exam requirements.
This shapes the SCRUM mindset in the participants. I find this very good.
The additional content takes up a good portion of the time. Therefore, the pure exam preparation is perhaps a little too short in some places. Perhaps it should be announced in the description.
In the currently required online format, I would like to see a few interactive sections for the participants, possibly in groups.
It wasn't boring at any point, but maybe you can find ways to experience agility more by yourself in the online format as well.
The included test questions are well done and help with preparation.
I will take the SM exam in the next few days and hope to pass ;-)

Die Schulung bei Michael war professionell und von Anfang bis Ende sehr gut strukturiert. Als SCRUM Anfänger wurde ich von Anfang an "mitgenommen", die Geschwindigkeit war passend und insgesamt eine gute, zu empfehlende Schulung. Ich fühle mich mit der Thematik mehr als ausreichend unterrichtet, sodass keine Wünsche offen geblieben sind.
Besonders hervorzuheben: Direkte Anwendungsbeispiele seitens der Teilnehmer wurden aufgegriffen und Handlungsempfehlungen bzw. mögliche Lösungsansätze gegeben.

Due to Corona, I had to switch from the classroom to the virtual classroom. This format poses special challenges for both the participants and especially the trainers, because technical problems can occur and audiovisual feedback is limited or sometimes missing altogether. Katja did a great job of working around these problems and still got us SCRUM fit. I have few concerns about taking the official exam soon.
What I actually missed a bit in this format was the exchange with other participants, e.g. during the lunch break, but the trainer can't help that.
A minor problem for me was also the editing of the workbook on the iPad (no Adobe, but native). This first required the conversion of the document so that changes could be saved.

The training was very well structured and designed in a pleasant learning atmosphere. It was especially positive that the Scrum course was structured as Scrum development. This way, you could directly experience what it means to apply Scrum and it was easier to remember the content. The training prepared optimally for the exams, but also for the practice as Scrum Master or Product Owner. Many practical examples were included and the trainer brought a lot of experience to answer practical questions with concrete case studies. The trainer was also very well prepared and conveyed the content in a lively manner without being hectic, so that there was enough time to clarify open questions. The workbook principle contributes to the fact that one can remember the core contents well and permanently. The workbooks are also very suitable as reference books afterwards. The exam preparation sheets contain original Scrum.org exam questions and are very helpful to pass the exam. Overall, both in terms of content and method, a very successful course!

Top Training - sharpening the methodology at the detailed level

Although I had previous experience in agile project management and with the Scrum framework, I was able to tighten further fine tuning screws thanks to the very good trainer.
Accordingly, I feel very well prepared for the exam.
The training days were a lot of fun, because the trainer only always had a smile on her face, but also encouraged an open group dynamic through the right methods during the training.
As a suggestion for improvement for the organization: It would have been nice to have had an exchange with other people who have also gained practical experience before. In this training the further participants were unfortunately without practical experience and/or only small points of contact. This could be considered, as far as possible, in the composition of the groups. (Depending on the number of registrations Serview has of course more or less influence on this).
All in all, I would immediately visit a training with Sonia again !

The content was taught in a very practical way and our questions were well answered. The cohesion in the group was very good. We already made suggestions for improvement at the end of the training, so I won't go into them again here. It was only a matter of small things. Good day,
Last week I was able to attend the seminar for Scrum Master and Product Owner.
Tamara was great in guiding us through this seminar.
Although we were a very mixed group - in terms of age and background - we were all really well taken along. She always noticed when someone didn't follow or when we just needed a 5 minute break. I have never experienced anything like that before. The 3 days therefore neither dragged on nor that they passed me completely incomprehensible.
Tamara answered every question and used practical examples to give us an understanding of Scrum theory.
A speaker like her is needed more often.
I was not so satisfied with the venue (Düsseldorf).
Some of the drinks and snacks served to us were out of date, so that we had to check several times whether we could still drink or eat them.
Even during the seminar, the drinks and empty bottles were cleared away, so that Tamara had to stop this several times. Very sad!

Scrum master and product owner, are complex topics that I had nothing to do with before.
The trainer had the challenge to go through the course completely and additionally teach me certain standards in agile.
After the three days, I can say with best conscience that I have a solid basic knowledge and am ready to write the exam soon.

This was a virtual classroom training due to COVID19 pandemic. But with a similar approach that Serview usually tends to use.
Haniff is a very experienced trainer with excellent English skills, speaking clearly and is able to explain the topic, allowing conversation flow and understanding of the content.
The course covers all the necessary topics needed by a Scrum Master and Product Owner to be successful in their role.
Haniff delivered the training using flip charts (in pptx. virtual) guiding us through the content, by making a connection, clarifying the concepts, concreting the practices and then delivering a conclusion.
I am very satisfied.

The possibility to ask questions was great.
I did not miss more practical exercises - in my opinion this can be done in 3 days.

The virtual training was one of the best I have had the pleasure of attending in recent years. Super preparation, comprehensive training materials to prepare for certification, and an open and very competent trainer left nothing to be desired. In particular, the numerous practical tips raised the training to a qualitatively high level.
