Hybrid training, full edutainment

Hybrid training, full edutainment

At the end of 2021, we launched a completely new training concept: With our hybrid training rooms, we made it possible for online and face-to-face participants to learn alongside and with each other on an equal footing. But what changes does this bring? What are the benefits for participants, and what are the benefits for trainers? And is it really that much different? An insight into the new, old concept.

The SERVIEW claim: Engaging edutainment

The idea of "adding" online participants to our face-to-face training sessions - in effect, bringing both formats to the same table - sounds complicated at first and, above all, technically complex if you want to do it right. In reality, however, the perfect training experience is the core idea: all participants should be perceived, participate on an equal footing and have fun. And that, after all, has always been our goal! That's why our real task was to further digitize the SERVIEW Workbook Principle® - because with our Workbooks, we have always focused on interactive, sustainable learning with an entertainment factor.

All at one table: advantages of the hybrid concept

The advantage of our hybrid training: Teams scattered across different locations worldwide can experience the same training together and learn with each other. For example, while colleagues from the head office attend classroom training, employees from branch offices simply participate digitally. We also take into account the home office, which has become increasingly popular in Corona times - and the fact that even with a cough, it's better to stay at home at the moment. Everyone can take part in the training on site or virtually, as they wish, completing all the exercises together with their team.

SERVIEW Workbook Principle® reloaded: Now in digital

Boring PowerPoint presentations are strictly forbidden in our trainings. No one likes to rattle off slide after slide in a monotonous voice - and no one likes to listen to it or memorize anything as a result. That's why we rely on our workbooks in every single training session, which are completed by the participants together. And we do this at just the right pace and with the individual touch that provides that extra kick when it comes to memorizing the content.

In our classic face-to-face training, the trainer gives his impulses on the flipchart and supplements the presentations that can also be found in the workbooks. In a hybrid training, a huge monitor and a digital pen are available for this purpose. This results in the same energetic experience in the digital space, because while the trainer draws on the monitor and the presence participants follow his explanations on it, the presentation is played out directly to all live online participants. This results in the same fantastic training experience for all participants and our trainers can concentrate fully on what counts: passing on knowledge with fun and competence.

The large monitor is also used for group work, where the boundaries between presence and live online participants become even more blurred. Using high-tech speakers and microphones, we also ensure that participants from both worlds can hear each other at all times and communicate smoothly.

Conclusion: What is different?

So what has changed with hybrid training rooms? In principle, not much, because the important aspects of successful training are still at the heart of the idea. What is new, however, is this decisive advantage: Teams from all over the world can come together at one table and learn with each other thanks to SERVIEW hybrid training. Flexible, equal and sustainable. This is how we think further training!
