Who is PeopleCert?

PeopleCert is a leading global certification organization offering exams for ITIL®, PRINCE2®, Agile, DevOps and many other frameworks and methodologies.

How do I register for a PeopleCert exam?

After booking a training course with SERVIEW, you will receive an exam voucher from us with all the necessary information about your PeopleCert exam.

Who is your main contact for questions about the PeopleCert exams?

As SERVIEW, we will of course be happy to be your first point of contact for questions about the exam. However, please note that the audit is provided and carried out by PeopleCert. We therefore have no influence on the statements or services provided by PeopleCert. If you encounter any problems during the examination process, we recommend that you contact PeopleCert directly in order to receive the fastest possible support.

What types of examination are there?

  • Web Based Online Proctoring (OP): You can take the exam online from any location while a supervisor monitors the exam.

What are the technical requirements for online exams?

For online proctoring you need:

  • A computer with Windows® 11 or Windows® 10 (Windows 10S and Windows 11S are not supported).
  • A dual-core 2.4 GHz processor or faster with at least 4 GB RAM.
  • An active broadband Internet connection with at least 4 Mbit/s.
  • A monitor with a resolution of at least 1024 x 768 pixels.
  • Keyboard and mouse or other pointing device (keyboard set to English characters).
  • A webcam (integrated or external) that enables 360-degree rotation.
  • Speakers and microphone (headsets are only permitted during onboarding).

Please note that the examination platform is accessible via the web browser and no additional software installation is required.

How do I prepare my exam room?

Make sure that:

  • you are in a private, quiet room without transparent walls.
  • you are alone in the room during the entire examination.
  • walls and desk are free of unauthorized objects.
  • No other screens are visible except the one used for the test.
  • Sufficient lighting is available without shining directly onto the webcam.

Which identification documents do I need?

On the day of the exam, you must present a valid government-issued photo ID that matches the information provided during registration. Accepted documents include an ID card, passport or driver's license. Electronic IDs are not accepted.

Can I postpone or cancel the exam?

Yes, exams can be rebooked free of charge up to 48 hours before the appointment. A fee will be charged for less than 48 hours.

What happens if I don't pass the exam?

We are happy to offer you exam insurance as an option when you book your training course. 

How long does it take until I receive the exam result?

Most online exam results are available immediately after the exam. You will receive the official certificate by email within 2-5 working days.

In which languages are the exams available?

Exams are offered in several languages, including English, German, French and Spanish. Availability depends on the certification program.

Are the exams accessible?

Yes, PeopleCert offers adaptations for people with special needs. Please contact us at SERVIEW at an early stage so that we can forward your requirements to PeopleCert.

What is the best way to prepare for the exam?

  • Take part in a SERVIEW training course that is optimally tailored to the exam.
  • Use the practice tests and materials provided by us.
  • Read the official manuals and framework guides that you receive from us.

What does a PeopleCert exam cost?

The costs vary depending on the certification and exam type. You can find detailed information in your personal SERVIEW offer.

Where can I find my certificate after the exam?

Your certificate will be available on the PeopleCert portal once you have passed the exam. You can download it digitally or order a printed version on request (for a fee).

How long is my certificate valid for?

Many certifications, such as ITIL® and PRINCE2®, have no expiration dates. Nevertheless, we recommend keeping up to date with SERVIEW through regular training and new certifications.

Preparation: 24 hours before the exam

  • Read the guidelines
    Read the official "Web Based Online Proctored Exams - Candidate Guidelines" carefully to prepare for the exam in the best possible way.
  • Carry out the system compatibility check
    You must carry out a system compatibility check before your test. 

    Notes on the compatibility check:

    • Use the same computer and setup (camera, headset, screen, etc.) that you will use on the day of the exam.
    • Carry out the check in the room where you will be taking the exam.
    • Activate only one screen (if using an external monitor, this must be set as the primary screen).
    • Remove or deactivate all other screens.
    • The check takes about 5 minutes and is mandatory. Repeat the check approx. 2 hours before your test to take into account possible changes due to system updates.
  • Connection with the Web Based Exam Driver test
    Connect to the Web Based Exam Driver at least 24 hours before your exam to identify and resolve any technical problems at an early stage.
  • Support in case of problems
    If you have any problems during the compatibility check or on the day of the exam, the PeopleCert technical support team is available around the clock.

What do I need to consider on the day of the exam?

What should I do two hours before the exam?

  • Log in to the Web Based Exam Driver with your access data.
  • Carry out the system compatibility check again to ensure that no changes to your system (e.g. due to OS updates) affect the check.

What happens after the successful compatibility check?

  • Once the check is complete, follow the instructions on the screen:
  • Accept the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA ).
  • Read the examination instructions.
  • Confirm that you have read and accepted the examination rules.
  • Scan your ID (webcam photo or upload a picture).
  • Connect to your proctor by clicking on "Start now".

What does the proctor do during the exam?

  • The proctor performs your ID validation and onboarding, including security checks.
  • During the test, the proctor remains inconspicuously online and is available to answer questions.
  • You must leave your microphone switched on during the entire test.
  • If the connection is interrupted during the test, the proctor pauses until the connection is re-established.
  • Security checks can be repeated during the test without affecting the duration of the test.

Is the exam session safe?

  • Yes, the exam session will be recorded and stored in accordance with PeopleCert's privacy policy. For more information about the security checks, please read the Candidate Guidelines carefully.
