The ITIL® Version 5 Foundation plus Practices Live Online Training is a modern and flexible learning format designed for anyone who wants to gain a thorough and practical understanding of IT Service Management according to ITIL® Version 5. To participate, all you need is a quiet workspace with a stable internet connection, a headset, and a webcam. With our Education Package, you’ll receive all relevant materials for your ITIL® Version 5 Foundation training in advance: the official reference materials, the proven SERVIEW Workbook, and all necessary training materials. In the ITIL® Version 5 Foundation Live Online Course, you’ll work through the content together with an experienced SERVIEW trainer—live, interactively, and in a dialogue-oriented manner. An Overview of ITIL Version 5 Foundation Plus 14 Practices
The ITIL Version 5 Foundation Plus Practices course is the official entry point into the ITIL Version 5 certification scheme and is designed for anyone who wants to build a structured understanding of modern digital product and service management—and apply that knowledge directly in a practical setting. During the first two days of training, the course provides a common language, key ITIL concepts, and the unified Digital Product & Service Lifecycle for managing modern services and products. Participants develop a solid foundational understanding of value creation, collaboration, governance, and continuous improvement within the Service Value System.
Important to know: In the new ITIL Version 5 Foundation, the practices and their workflows are no longer part of the exam and are therefore no longer covered in sufficient depth in the traditional Foundation course. This is exactly where this training comes in.
On the third day, the focus is on practical application:

Service Desk, Incident Management, Problem Management, Service Request Management, Monitoring & Event Management, Change Enablement, Release Management, Deployment Management, IT Asset Management, Service Configuration Management, Service Level Management, Supplier Management, Relationship Management, and Information Security Management.
As a result, the ITIL Version 5 Foundation Plus Practices is specifically designed for anyone who is not aiming for Practice Manager status but wants to go beyond mere exam preparation to truly understand and apply the most important practices.
The Foundation course thus provides not only knowledge but also practical skills that can be directly applied in the workplace. The training creates a particularly solid foundation for the successful practical application of ITIL—going well beyond the scope of the traditional Foundation course.
At the same time, it serves as the starting point for all advanced certifications within the ITIL Version 5 model. The three learning paths—ITIL Practice Manager, ITIL Managing Professional, and ITIL Strategic Leader—are built upon this foundation, each leading to a recognized professional designation. Those who successfully complete all three designations achieve the highest level of certification in the ITIL Version 5 system: ITIL Master.
This training is suitable for both beginners and professionals and managers who not only want to understand ITIL but also want to gain a focused understanding of its key practices—as the foundation for successful service organizations and sustainable digital transformation.
What will I learn in the ITIL Version 5 Foundation Training?
ITIL Fundamentals Version 5 (Days 1–2)
You will learn why ITIL Version 5 represents a logical evolution of existing ITIL approaches and how the focus is shifting from pure IT service management to the integrated management of digital products and services. In the process, you will develop a clear understanding of value creation, outcomes, benefits, risks, and costs.
The unified digital product and service lifecycle
A key component of the training is the ITIL Product and Service Lifecycle. You will gain an understanding of how digital products and services are managed holistically across all phases—from the initial idea through ongoing operations to continuous improvement. In the process, you will learn how organizations break down silos and effectively integrate product and service management.
The ITIL Value System
This training course introduces you to the ITIL Value System as a core management model. You will learn about its individual components—including Guiding Principles, Governance, Value Chain, Practices, and Continual Improvement—and understand how they work together to enable consistent, value-driven management.
Guiding Principles & Practical Application
You will delve deeply into the ITIL Guiding Principles and learn how they can serve as a guide for decision-making, prioritization, and improvements in your day-to-day work. The focus is clearly on practical, experience-driven application rather than on theoretical rules.
Roles, collaboration, and organization
Another key focus is on the clearly defined roles, responsibilities, and outcomes in ITIL Version 5. You will understand how collaboration works across teams, departments, and organizations, and how value is created together for customers and users.
